Yes as you can see the sun is just starting to set in Klong Prao noted as a great place to see sunsets. Chok Dee resort which means good luck in Thai is located here.. It's a great time to just stroll along the beach and take in some of that equisite peace and tranquility that this place has to offer. | White Sand Beach | Description |

Whitesand beach is like the the downtown of Koh Chang. This is where it all started about 10 years ago. Beach itself is about 2-3 klms long and is kept in good condition by the local government. As you can see there are many well established funky restaurants, bars and accommodation in this sothern area that they call the rocks. Off the beach and on the main road is the shopping, eating and banking district. Even in the hieght of the season you can find some solace and peace here. Or just walk the beach and people watch, it's Koh Chang's favorite pastime. Location: White Sand Beach. Map |

Even though Kai Bae is a busy little place the beach is off the main road somewhat so you can always find some privacy here. Area is very clean and the sand is soft. Local Thais love it because there is a great camping area with all the amenities right on the beach. No large waves or undercurrents to worry about so swimming is a real pleasure. Klong Prao Beach is a horseshoe shape beach about 200 meteres off the main road. It is a local favorite because it's not only one of the most beautifull beaches but also great for swimming. There is plenty to see here because many major resorts are situated here as well as the Chai Chet fishermans wharf. My favorite aspect is how the river that is fed by cool clear mountain streams empties itself into the ocean here. A sandbar is created so you can literally jump from the warm ocean to cool fresh river water. Natures bath right there for you. It's one of the island's.best kept secrets. Location: Chai Chet. Nature beach is actually a part of Lonely Beach. It is one one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and a real pleasure if you like to lay around in the sun and take the occasional dip in a warm ocean. Siam Beach an upscale resort is located here and caters to European tastes. Lots of cute little bars and restaurants with good food and service so you can take in some of the pleasures of life.
